Michael George attended a legislative event on Capitol Hill hosted by Senator Tom Harkin (IA) chairman of the Health Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. The event released a report on the dangerous use of seclusion and restraints in schools and advocated for passage of The Keeping All Children Safe Act, limiting restraints to emergency situations only and eliminating the use of seclusion rooms in public schools.  Dr. George spoke briefly on the ill effects of seclusion and restraints on children and urged public school administrators to remove seclusion rooms from their schools.
